Now in larger format for easier reading of charts and graphs, Lycoming Operators Manuals contain information mostly of importance to pilots and owners. Besides basic recommendations and instructions for starting, run-up procedures, ground checks, leaning, and shut down, and storage, the Operator's Manuals are the source of official in-flight performance charts for factors including percentage of horsepower, density altitude, fuel consumption, mixture settings.
For the maintenance technician and owner/mechanic, inspections schedules are also included along with required inspection steps, procedures, and troubleshooting. In Operator Manuals where multiple engines are covered, individual charts and information is included for each covered engine, and for every engine suffix identifier as needed.
