Aircraft Basic Science
by Michael J. Kroes & James R. Rardon
Aircraft Basic Science is Glencoe's (McGraw Hill's) version of General section of AMT training but with an added emphasis on aerodynamics and flight theory; but without the electrical theory sections (see the Electricity & Electronics volume of this series).
As with all Glencoe textbooks, this too is more academically orientated than its Jeppesen and ASA counterparts being more comprehensive in its coverage of each topic and offering more in the areas of theory & design and less of step by step directions. Because of this, the Glencoe series demands more from the reader, but pays you back by offering a greater understanding of each subject. Recommended for those in a self study program and for those wishing to enhance a previous classroom type training program.
